Imtech ICT, European service provider for IT services, launches its new social software collaboration platform for 1.700 employees across Europe. The platform is about to support the expansion, sales, focus and business development strategy towards 2015.
Director of Imtech ICT Europe, Tijn van Dommelen, presented his roadmap towards 2015 during the companies strategy update early November and mentioned social software and cloud technology as the front-end innovators for its business solutions. As said; social software is implemented within Imtech ICT to strengthen the ICT division and support group synergy towards growth over the coming years.
‘C3’ is the new social software platform that gives all employees the ability to easily search and find people, expertise, locations and phone numbers. The additional ability to share documents, start a discussion, open a wiki, create tasks or publish a blog gives power to the users and is a full user centric social intranet (web 2.0) solution.
After a cross-division pilot earlier this year the ICT division recognized the power and capabilities of social software and decided to deploy. The technology chosen is out-of-the-box IBM Lotus Connections with only minor adjustments like UI changes and a password reset tool and required just a couple of days custom development time.
Two already existing smaller Lotus Connections platforms (600 + 100 users) are consolidated into the new platform. Since Imtech ICT is premium IBM business partner and deploying same technology for its customers we have the expertise and were able to built, deploy and migrate quickly and focus on the promotion and user adoption process.
Within three month the C3 platform was fully up-and-running and we expect it to grow and adopt fast over the coming months.
